YaLLa Compass Winter 2025 Tournament Recap

Day 1

• A fierce battle dwelled between Kono & Cybershoke, although cybershoke was dominating on first map train, the next 2 maps were very close, especially in ancient where they managed to win 13-11 to win the next match
• 9ine vs Sashi was a very anticipated game, however due to schedule constraints from 9ine, Sashi qualified automatically
• Crowd favorite Bad News Eagles had their debut short lived at YaLLa Compass, starting off strong on Anubis annihilating forze reload, only to end up in the next to maps losing very close rounds on Mirage & Ancient
• Chemira vs Eclot was a very interesting match, if Chemira would have won, there was a possibility that they might have been the Champions for the tournament, a very close first map on inferno 13-10 as chimera takes the win which then eclot adapts to in the next to maps ancient and mirage winning by a large margin

Day 2

• Starting fierce with a double overtime on nuke forze reload take the first map from Copenhagen wolves, and we witnessed another close fierce game on mirage where cph wolves took the victory, non the less on the decider map forze reload takes it all to qualify to the playoffs
• With a shocking result we got to see Chimera sweep past GTZ winning both mirage and inferno maps

Day 3

• Kicking it off BIG vs Cybershoke the games were one sided but overall in favor of BIG
• Aurora vs Eclot was another highly anticipated matchup, post interview elive said that they struggled in the past to beat aurora as he acknowledges them being a solid team, and being the Champions of the tournament explains the level of Eclot being prepared to win aurora who was an invited team 2-0
• Would have loved to see Sashi face off Passion UA as both these teams arguably have the same playstyle and match the exact fire power, would have been a 3 mapper game however PassionUA qualify due to scheduling constraints from Sashi
• Forze vs Rushb was a back and forth action packed game, unfortunate to see the team that kicked out BNE lost this matchup however it was well deserved from Rushb as they retaliate their mirage loss on Train & Ancient

• Semi Finals kick off strong, many anticipated eclot won't win against rushb, however dynamo eclot went aghe odds, and won both maps 13-11 making them the first to qualify to the finals!
• Second Semi Final BIG vs Passion UA started off with an absolute domination from BIG on mirage to then losing on ancient 13-9 and winning a very close game on train which takes us to our GRAND FINALS

• BIG vs Eclot is one of those Matches that reminds us why CS is loved and why we come back to it despite the years going by, watching this game started off solid on mirage where it was back and forth until theelive on an eco round clutched with a 1vs2 pistol throwing off the momentum of BIG and gaining mental advantage, we got to see an incredible performance from forsyy and clutches from M1key as well
• Game 2 on Nuke BIG was a completely different team from what we saw before, even the power of forsyy couldn't keep up, a few unlucky rounds where krimbo outplayed Eclot with his timing and clutches, but the real highlight of this map was hyped, he was an unstoppable force which took BIG to map 3 after winning on overtime
• Game 3 was truly the definition of a grand final game, both BIG & Eclot were going head to head clutch for clutch another overtime however in the end eclot takes the win to be crowned the YaLLa Compass 2025 Winter Champions!
