YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 Finals to Transition Online to Ensure Competitive Integrity and Long-Term Stability
YaLLa Esports has announced that the finals of YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 will now be held online, following a necessary adjustment in response to unexpected scheduling constraints in the global Counter-Strike calendar. The event will continue as a ranked tournament with a $300,000 prize pool, and matches will take place on European servers to ensure a fair and balanced competitive environment.
This decision was made after extensive efforts to preserve the original LAN format and navigate the increasingly congested international tournament calendar. With multiple events now overlapping in close proximity, the pressure on teams and operations made a full-scale offline execution no longer viable without compromising the quality or fairness of the competition.
“Our first priority is always the integrity of the competition and the experience for players and fans,” said Klaus Kajetski, Founder of YaLLa Esports. “We’ve put months of planning and hard work into delivering a standout event, and while the format is changing, our commitment to excellence remains unchanged.”
YaLLa Compass Qatar 2025 has been in active development for over a year, with dedicated teams across operations, production, and talent working tirelessly to bring a flagship tournament to the MENA region. The transition to an online format was made with the goal of protecting the competition’s integrity while preserving the broader vision of building sustainable, globally integrated events from the Middle East.
The online format offers increased flexibility, and YaLLa Esports is working directly with participating teams to accommodate scheduling needs, especially for those who previously faced conflicts. As part of this effort, match timings are also being reviewed to minimize overlap with other tournaments, including the MRQ, in order to support player availability and overall tournament flow.
“This shift allows us to protect the competitive standard we’ve set for the Compass circuit, while continuing to serve the global community that’s formed around it,” said Teemu Koski, Chief Growth Officer at YaLLa Esports. “We remain fully committed to delivering premium experiences - this time in an online setting, and soon again on LAN.”
The online finals follows a successful closed qualifier, which concluded recently.
